Snapshot

The black lines in this very special piece of wood have been drawn entirely by nature. Along with the subtle color variations, they are formed when fungi invade a decaying tree and frozen in time when the wood is milled and dried. It’s a snapshot of nature at work, and an example of extraordinary beauty in unexpected places.
